Test Pilot’s Daughter Revenge is the first title in a series featuring a gutsy female genius who fights injustice in a fast paced thriller. Molesters and pedophiles be warned, don’t mess with Christina Matthews!

Review from the Editor’s Desk of Harper Collins Test Pilot’s Daughter is exciting, original and a real page-turner. It is extremely well plotted. The author’s familiarity with flying lends his action real veracity and texture.

Ranked number 1 out of 8,000 books on Harper Collins’ Authonomy website November, 2009.

Romance, adventure, murder and revenge, Christina Matthews does it all. An obsessed fly-girl with the Right Stuff and True Grit finds love in the oddest place, the cockpit. A beautiful and brainy college girl born with jet-fuel in her blood is haunted by a gripping family tragedy and the violent murder of her best friend. The only thing she truly fears is sleep. Tortured by nightmares, this test pilot’s daughter has to find a way to save her sanity or die. Mike Clark, call-name Lazer and a real Top Gun, looks to be the best kind of therapy.

With dreams of becoming an Astronaut-Commander, Christina struggles through heart-stopping perils in the cockpit and crash-lands on a deserted island. Without hope for rescue, she concocts an oddball plan to return survivors to civilization.

Risking her future at NASA, Christina delivers on a promise to a dying friend and faces her evil nemesis in the sky. Only by overcoming deep-seated fears can she exorcise her ghosts and pursue a lifelong dream of flying in space.

Will true love conquer Christina’s curse, or will she auger in?

Note from the Author If you enjoy this novel, make sure to check out the sequel, Test Pilot’s Daughter Dead Reckoning and follow Christina Matthews into space.

I liked this story a lot! Right from the beginning, the excitement begins with a glimpse of the ending. But it is not a spoiler. Christina is the daughter of Lt Col Patrick Matthews who is a test pilot for Boeing. He had wanted to be an astronaut, but did not qualify. Chris loses her mother at 12 yrs of age, and through her next 10 years or so, struggles with the deep loss. Her father has also become distant to her, thus she became very independent early in life. She was a tomboy: tough, confident, and one who's motto is, "Never give in, never give up." At a young age she had a solitary goal that she has set for her future. Finished with high school, Chris and her two very close girl friends form a close bond through the early college years. Chris decides to take flying lessons and her flight instructor feels she has a natural talent. The three girls face many challenges, and Chris seems to be the most logical and confident of the girls. She confronts every conflict they are faced with and becomes a hero. This story is simply written, easy to read, and may be more suited for older teenagers, but I absolutely loved it. Perhaps because it sparked my memories of flying years ago in a Beechcraft Bonanza where I experienced many adventures. I think this story may encourage many young people to set such high goals. I strongly recommend this book if you like high action adventure. I will be reading the sequel soon!

Test Pilot Daughter Revenge edition by Steve Ward Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I thought this book was going to be boring. Because it started off slow and a little uninteresting. But, once it got to the body of the story it became a page turner. If you like adventure, sleuthing, some romance and of course murder, in your mystery reads. Than this is a worthy read. Also, if you like aviation and treasure hunting topics this book will truly interest you. Because it has all of those topics masterfully intertwined into a very good read.
revenge is the first of a series and for the summary, i'm sure other reviewers were able to come up with something.

anyway, what i appreciated most is the fact that this book wasn't too long. it wasn't too short either.

the characters were easy to remember, and story moved fast to a good and happy ending. but in spite of that, this book wasn't a fairy tale either though, of course, things might have happened differently if it was in the real world.

having finished this book made me remember the hardy boys and the nancy drew series i have read when i was probably ten or 11. basically the same but this has a more mature touch to it, though i think a pre-teen can appreciate it.

all in all, if you love reading, this would be an easy one for you. enjoy!
This book told a pretty good story. I had a couple problems with it. First the first part spent too much time explaining the details of planes and flying. If you are big into planes you will probably love if, but it wasn't for me. Also I didn't care for the last couple chapters, but again that is probably just me. I just didn't care for the way the author choose to wrap up some of the small details. But I did love the rest of the book. It was a great book and it kept me turning the pages. I can't wait to read another one. P.S. I hope the next one includes Billy back with the girls
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was a wonderful escape that moved fast enough to keep me entertained without getting into too much detail. The author did a great job introducing the reader to the characters in the story and developed them in a seamless way as the story developed. Very readable writing although I did notice several typos, the editor might consider another review/update of the electronic versions even if it is too late for the book. I'm looking forward to ready more work by this author.
A fantastic action adventure with an utterly over the top young main character. No obstacle will prevent her from reaching her intended goal. This story provides excitement in the form of premeditated murder, being marooned and finding sunken treasure. But most importantly it leaves it to you the reader to decide if justice has been served.

I have rated this book 5 stars and read it in one setting.

I obtained this book from in format.
In any work of fiction, I'm willing to allow some literary license as long as the result is a good story that grabs my attention, and entertains me. There were a lot of things in this book that required me to really stretch my imagination, several inconsistencies, and some facts just didn't add up. But since it contributed to an exciting and compelling read, I let a lot of improbable things slide.

As other reviewers have noted, some sub storylines were left unresolved. The majority of the action occurred in a very short time frame, making it seem somewhat implausible. But the biggest stretch was the flight training, and Christina's astonishing prowess in such a short time. A solo with little more than 4 hours of flying time on the books? Then after 10 hours, a day at a combat training program? Where she meets the guy she will fall madly in love with in the next few weeks, even though she is still finishing up school, taking finals, and then going off on a trip with her friends. By the time they were ready to leave the island, I was starting to accept things as if I was reading science fiction. I think I would have been more comfortable with the flow of the story if the flight training and love relationship had developed over her entire Senior year, rather than in just a few months.

Another thing I did not understand at all - why did the professor feel the need to kill his fiancé? Why not just break off with her, and move on? Rather radical action with no justification that I could glean, and that was a loose end that wasn't resolved. Of course, it was necessary to the book, but some reason for it should have been made.

But all in all, an interesting, action packed book with some different twists. It held my interest, and I enjoyed it.
